Charities and Community GroupsOur values mirror all group's aim objectives. We are:
We have worked on a number of projects with various Charities and Community groups. We are associate partners of Together, a leading and oldest mental health charity and have worked on two long-term projects with the Race Equality Foundation. Whether making a promotional, fund-raising, event recording or training film, we think it is important to spend time getting to know the organisation before commencing filming. This helps us understand the content needed, how to make best use of resources available and the style and look required. Throughout the process, we work alongside our clients and keep them informed and involved. We are very sensitive to the needs of each group and will adapt our working practices accordingly. When producing a DVD for Richard House Children's' Hospice, we saw it as a priority that those being filmed were comfortable and enjoyed the experience. We work collaboratively with service users making film accessible whilst using it as a tool for empowerment. When producing a Docu-drama for VIA, a campaign group for people with learning difficulties, members were involved in script writing, acting and decision-making. Our ongoing work with Inspirational Filmworks, a mental health service user film group has gone from strength to strength. They have filmed and produced four films for the Community Channel and two for NHS staff training. They were also awarded the Oxleas Recognition Award for Best Practice in 2005.
