Documentary and Fiction
We are very experienced documentary filmmakers having covered subjects
as diverse as the World Cup diaries of a football fan and as challenging
as surviving child sexual abuse. We are inspired by stories and
working with people. Exploring and relating different lives is a
real fascination for us. We also relish the challenge of producing
fiction and have scripted and directed films for two organisations.
| In 2002 we won a Newham
film fund award and produced an 18-minute film, Two Other Stories
that has been shown on the Community Channel and at several
film festivals. |
|
| In 2005 we spent two
months in North and South India filming two films, one about
beliefs and one tracing a family history. |
|
In 2006 we produced
and uploaded onto Channel Four's 4Docs website five 4-minute
films over a period of three weeks. These followed an England
football fans attempts to promote his World Cup song. |
|
 |
| In 2007 we produced
a second film about beliefs filmed in London and Bradford. In
the same year, we were awarded another Newham film award for
a 48-hour film challenge. |
|
| We are currently making
a documentary about Inspirational Filmworks, a mental health
film group we facilitate. The group has shown how filmmaking
can be creative, therapeutic and life changing. The film will
be screened on inspired-stories.tv - a mental health Internet
TV station. The station is managed by Flexible Films and will
be launched on World Mental Health Day 2008 (October 10th).
